The NC Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa is committed to connecting educators on all levels and contributing to the growing of their skills. Through our collective growth, we make sure our all of our schools and students achieve.
We are proud to announce our learning theme for the 2013-2-14 school year. The planning group at NCPDK has brainstormed topics we think will be relevant and necessary for educators and critical to their development. Though there are many worthwhile topics, we have narrowed our focus to one particular area –Digital Leadership.
The skills needed for school leaders is a constantly growing and evolving list. School leadership today means something entirely different from 5, 10, 20 years ago and it will continue to change as our society and field maintains a focus on innovations in learning technologies and teaching methodologies. Embracing what digital leadership means is necessary as we move our schools forwards. These areas include:
- Leading change in schools with a focus shifting towards flexible, adapting environments
- Supporting our school staffs changing mindsets and skill sets
- Engaging in effective practices that continue to grow our skills as school leaders.
We invite you to join us and take part in the events we have planned for this school year. We are excited about scope and potential impact of our 2013 journey.
